Round 2, Pick 19 (51): David Amerson/CB/North Carolina State. Star Impact: ✪✪✪

Possess speed, length and a knack for creating turnovers—had 13 interceptions as a sophomore (tied for second most in NCAA history). Makes big plays but also has a propensity to give them up the other way too (see; Miami. He gave up five touchdowns). Willing tackler. Not very fluid in backpedal/hip movement. Can play nickel back but team views him as eventual starter.

Round 3, Pick 23 (85): Jordan Reed/TE/Florida. Star Impact: ✪✪✪

One-dimensional pass-catcher with dependable hands and agility to make defenders miss and gain additional yardage after the catch. Versatile skill-set could see him lined up at H-back, in the slot, in addition to tight end and is even fast enough to play wide receiver. Also played running back early on in his Gators career. Very poor blocker.

Round 4, Pick 22 (119): Phillip Thomas/SS/Fresno State. Star Impact: ✪✪✪

Thrived this past season as Fresno State switched to a 3-4 scheme, which allowed him to utilize his instincts more. Gets up after it on jump balls. Can also play up in the box or be used as a blitzer. Missed the entire 2011 season with a broken left leg and dislocated left ankle. Was inserted at strong safety primarily during rookie minicamp but could also see a lot of action at free safety. Jumps the gun a lot but also nabs game changing interceptions.

Round 5, Pick 21 (154): Chris Thompson/RB/Florida State. Star Impact: ½

Small scat/change of pace back with explosive return abilities when healthy. Slippery in space. Adaquete pass-blocker despite his size. Broke two vertebrae in his back as a junior. Coming off a torn ACL injury that ended his senior campaign. Brings big-play burst—averaged seven and a half yards per carry this past season on 91 carries (687 yards) prior to injury.

Round 5, Pick 29 (162) (From NE): Brandon Jenkins/DE/Florida State. Star Impact: ✪✪½

One of the premier pass-rush prospects in the nation before a lisfranc injury in his left foot during the season opener prevented him from playing as a senior. Had 33½ tackles for loss and 21½ sacks combined in the previous two seasons. Received a second round grade from NFL Advisory Committee. Could pay huge dividends if able to get back to full strength.

Round 6, Pick 23 (191): Bacarri Rambo/SS/Georgia. Star Impact: ✪✪½

Possesses size and athleticism to play both safety positions. Natural cover instincts—tied school record with16 career interceptions. Was suspended multiple times for violation of team rules. Scored extremely high on Redskins mental IQ test. Could develop into an interchangeable part along with Thomas at the safety positions.

Round 7, Pick 22 (228): Jawan Jamison/RB/Rutgers. Star Impact: ✪✪½

The gritty redshirt sophomore struggled with a lingering ankle injury for most of the second half of the season this past year and then measured smaller than expected at the combine, which immensely damaged his draft stock. Despite tiny size, he toted the rock nearly 500 times over  the past two years in the Big East. Shows good hands and did not allow a sack in pass coverage this past season. All-weather experience; runs well in rain, sleet or snow. Could be a bust-out superstar should an injury occur to Alfred Morris. Prototypical zone-blocking scheme runner.

UDFA Watch (O): Wade Jacobson/OL/Washington State. Nasty, athletic freak.

UDFA Watch (D): Andrew Seumalo/DT/Oregon. Former walk-on from Honolulu.
