PROS

  • Rare athlete who possesses freakish combination of size, speed and strength. Disruptive force; creates tremendous push in the backfield. Commands double-team coverage. High motor. Excellent lateral speed and good angles in pursuit. Devastating bull rush.
  • Versatility and athleticism to play every defensive line position and linebacker. Playing weight has fluctuated anywhere between 275-300 pounds. Has been used to run fake punts and carry the ball in short yardage situations…and has been a thrill to watch!
  • Viewed as better three-technique prospect but can/will line up in five-technique as well. At his best when working in space.

CONS

  • Defensive line coach Chris Kiffin has been stressing that he needs to pick a side and go with it, instead of driving through the man when rushing the quarterback. He sometimes sticks his head in the wrong gap.
  • Relies heavily upon his power; will need to further develop his hand repertoire and pass-rush moves.
  • Game is still raw, needs all-around seasoning. Best football is yet to come if his coaches can get it out of him.

OFF-FIELD

MEDICAL

  • Missed two games in 2013 due to a pulled hamstring.

NOTES

  • Brother of Ole Miss linebacker Denzel Nkemdiche

QUOTE

"He's so big and strong and fast that you can't single block him. It's just not going to happen, I don't care who we're playing. He's a massive individual that can create havoc." -- Ole Miss DC Dave Womack
