Russell Lande

Russel in a suit and tie.

One of the few men walking the planet who has served as a scout in the NFL, CFL and original XFL, Lande is the co-host of the Infectious Scouting Podcast. He began his career as an intern for the UCLA recruiting department in 1993 and eventually landed a job the following year with the St. Louis Rams, where he spent four seasons working under the legendary Dick Vermeil. Following his stint with the Rams, Lande served as an east coast scout for the XFL in 2000. He would later serve as College Scouting Director for the Montreal Alouettes in the CFL for six seasons. In between stints, Lande began his media career with his scouting service, ‘GM Jr’ and serving as editorial consultant to the NFL Today Show on CBS Sports. He has since rebranded under Infectious Scouting and can be heard each week on iTunes and Blog-Talk Radio with NFL Draft Bible founder Ric Serritella. Russ currently resides with his family in Chicago Illinois.
