Scouting Report: Christian Kirk, WR, Texas A&M

Scottsdale, AZ | 5106 | 200 | 4.41E | 2019

The guy showed up at college station as instant coffee with rare speed, great running instincts and ball skills that allowed him to make an immediate impact as a return man and lead the team in receiving as a true freshman. Kirk has a third gear that allows him to run away from defenders but he also possesses the lateral quickness and body control to put a move on any would be tackler. Kirk does not have ideal height for the position, he has adequate ball skills but is not a hands catcher and needs to develop catching away from his body. He is a gifted runner and Kirk is a bonafide kick return ace that already has five career punt return touchdowns in just two years. Athletically he is on par with the Odell Beckham’s of the world and if he can refine his route running and ball skills, he will be a dangerous receiver at the next level with his ability as a runner. Kirk will likely be one of the top receivers off the board in the 2018 draft and should test through the roof in Indianapolis.
