Scouting Report: Equanimeous St. Brown, WR, Notre Dame

Anaheim, CA | 6041 | 206 | 4.58E | 2019

St Brown possesses ideal length, outstanding ball skills and his long strides can leave defenders lost in his wake once he gets going. He spent seven games of his freshman year as a backup before suffering a season ending shoulder injury in practice but “EQ” really established himself as the go-to option in Brian Kelly’s offense in 2016 with his improved play. St Brown does a great job of high pointing the football and is a real threat after the catch with his straight line speed as well as a physical brand of running. He has excellent body control, vertical leaping ability and acceleration for a receiver his size. Equanimeous St Brown has a unique background, as he is fluent in German and French and his father (John Brown) was a two-time Mr Universe and three-time Mr World in bodybuilding. With a game similar to AJ Green, St Brown has a ton of upside as a Z receiver at the next level because he can survive on the outside, he knows how to beat press and he can stretch the field.

    Hi Joe,
thanks for the Report. As you probably know, Equanimeous St. Brown was born in Leverkusen/Germany and has a German mother. His American father was a bodybuilder, not a weightlifter ;-).

    Cheers,
    Torsten
