SCOUTING REPORT

You can’t teach this type of speed, the cliché couldn’t apply more. Laser-timed at 4.25 and 4.28 while at Auburn, he has also been timed at 4.22 during training leading up to the draft. In addition to rare speed, he is extremely athletic and elusive in space. His change of direction quickness and acceleration, hand-eye coordination and reaction time are all exceptional characteristics of his game that will be highly appealing to pro scouts. On film, he is difficult to track down once he gets around the edge on draw plays. Originally recruited as a quarterback by Jimbo Fisher to Florida State before transferring to East Mississippi CC where he starred on the Netflix show ‘Last Chance U.’ He would later transfer to Auburn where he played for Gus Malzahn and eventually finished his career at FAU, playing wide receiver for Lane Kiffin. The various type of offensive minds that have rubbed off on him are invaluable and he names former teammate Jameis Winston (Bucs) as one of his biggest mentors. Is still a raw player at the wide receiver position with limited playing experience. Will have to get more physical with defenders coming off the line of scrimmage against the jam. Loves the game, doesn’t know anything but football. If used right, he can be a dangerous offensive weapon being used in a situational role such as reverses, bubble screens and a Wildcat Turbo package until he learns the finer nuances of the position. He averaged 14 yards per touch (rushing/receiving) for Kiffin during his final season. The speed should certainly earn him every opportunity to prove himself to a NFL team. He is slated to workout at the BSN National Scouting Combine on Wednesday, February 28th at the SportsZone in Indianapolis.
