Known simply as ‘Mr Excitement’ and for very good reason. An extremely strong, stout runner who finishes on every play anytime he touches the ball. Carter can really push the pile, breaks a bunch of tackles—when met one-on-one in the open filed, more times than not, he makes the defender pay for tackle. He also shows the cutting ability and burst to break off big chunks of yardage at a clip. A mini-bulldozer style of runner who could thrive as a short yardage back, serve as reliable pass catcher out of the backfield and has a running style that is reminiscent of Maurice Jones-Drew. He certainly helped his draft stock with an impressive overall performance at the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl. One of eleven children and was the first in his immediate family to graduate from high school. Began his college career as a basketball player at Wiley College, when the coach left for another school, he lost his scholarship and was offered a spot to walk-on to the Grambling football team as a cornerback. Would transition to running back/return man role as a sophomore, where he would thrive and stay. Whispers about how his conditioning fell off during his senior season is one cause for concern. On the flipside, he is also known to step up his game when the lights go on and the bigger the stage, the better he seems to play. His explosiveness and versatility is valuable enough to worth investing a day three selection on.
