Scouting Report: Terry Godwin, WR, Georgia

Hogansville, GA | 5111 | 185 | 4.41E | 2019

Drafted in the 33rd round by the Atlanta Braves in 2015, Godwin is a gifted all around athlete with tremendous speed and great running power. He has plus ball skills, he does a great job of locating the pass and quickly adjusts to the football. He has game breaking speed and illustrates consistent separation from defenders. He has caught, run and thrown for a touchdown in his first two seasons and is deadly in the open field with his instincts as a runner. His best trait is body control with the stopping and starting he is capable of and the ability to adjust to passes away from his body. Godwin projects as a dynamic slot receiving option with his top end speed, elusiveness with the ball in his hands and his terrific hand eye coordination. He is poised for a breakout junior season and has gotten off to a fast start in 2017 with a handful of highlight reel plays, plus big-time production. He has looked like a more polished overall receiver and should hear his name called early when he makes the decision to play for pay in the NFL.
