Scouting Report: Vosean Crumbie, CB, Nevada

Number: #1 | Hometown: Tallahassee, FL | Height: 6010 | Weight: 195 | Forty: 4.50E | Class: 2018 (Declared-Jr) | Twitter: @VoCrumbie

A tall, lengthy corner with long arms who possesses excellent instincts and anticipation, quick reactions, fast closing speed, to go along with natural ball skills. He maintains good spacing, does a nice job of keeping himself between the defender and the ball, while showing natural awareness of when to get his head turned around; he has also demonstrated the ability to high point on jump balls. Demonstrates great vision and explosiveness as a returner on special teams, including a game in 2016 versus Santa Monica where he returned a pair of punts for 70 and 75 yards in the same game, just six minutes apart (three returns for touchdown during his career). Will get after the ball carrier and go make a play against the run. However, he needs to be careful with sticking the crown of his helmet down on the tackle. His deep speed is questionable but he can answer that during testing at his pro day workout in March—he definitely projects as boundary corner on the outside at the next level but also has the skill-set and experience to play free safety. Was suspended for violation of team rules by head coach Jay Norvell as a junior in 2017 and decided to declare early for the 2018 NFL Draft. Highly recruited out of IMG Academy, where he played for coach Chris Weinke. A vocal leader who takes charge on the field and in the locker room. His size, versatility and return ability currently grades him out as a day three prospect.

Nevada 2017: Registered 26 tackles, two interceptions, three pass breakups and one fumble recovery in nine games.

Was a member of the 2016 Western State Conference Championship team … Was named a 2016 Junior College All-American … Earned first team All-State and All-Conference honors in 2016.

Personal: Son of Althea Gaines and Vincent Crumbie … Has an older and a younger sister and an older brother … Earned his associate degree at Ventura College … Plans to major in Liberal Arts at Nevada … Went to the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla.
