Although he has served as a backup in his first two seasons, Savon Huggins is immensely skilled and should be expected to break out as a workhorse for the Scarlet Knight offense. He has rushed for only seven career touchdowns and 556 yards in his career thus far, but he was stuck behind star running back Jawan Jamison. After Jamison hastily left for the pros, Huggins, one of the most highly regarded incoming freshman in program history, will be the primary rusher in 2013.

Huggins contains all the attributes of a workhorse running back. He has ideal size, 6'0", 200lbs, to go with great vision and speed. However, at this point, all that skill is just raw talent. He is unproven and with no real competition in the backfield, there are no excuses for Huggins. He must break out for Rutgers in 2013, or else his NFL future could quickly diminish.
