Detroit holds the cards to the possibility of a trade where they’re slotted but have been highly linked to Ohio State cornerback Jeffrey Okudah. QUARTERBACK: Matt Stafford/Chase Daniel/David Blough

Money Invested: $23.975M | Percentage of Cap: 12.1% | Need Level: MEDIUM

Overview: Stafford is still under contract through the 2022-2023 season.

RUNNING BACK: Kerryon Johnson/Bo Scarbrough/Ty Johnson/Tra Carson/Wes Hills

Money Invested: $4.617M | Percentage of Cap: 2.3% | Need Level: HIGH

Overview: Kerryon Johnson has shown promise, but the inability to stay on the field could push the Lions hand to add depth here.

FULLBACK: Nick Bawden

Money Invested: $0.771M | Percentage of Cap: 0.4% | Need Level: MEDIUM

WIDE RECEIVER: Kenny Golladay/Marvin Jones/Danny Amendola/Geronimo Allison | Depth: Marvin Hall/Victor Bolden/Geremy Davis/Travis Fulgham/Chris Lacy/Jon Duhart/Tom Kennedy

Money Invested: $21.497M | Percentage of Cap: 10.8% | Need Level: LOW

Overview: The tandem of Golladay and Jones has proven to be one of the league’s best and Amendola had a productive year during his first season in Detroit.

TIGHT END: Jesse James/TJ Hockenson | Depth: Isaac Nauta/Paul Butler/Matt Sokol

Money Invested: $11.769M | Percentage of Cap: 5.9% | Need Level: LOW

Overview: The Lions have both run blocking and receiving covered with this tandem of James and Hockenson.

OFFENSIVE TACKLE: Taylor Decker/Halapoulivaati Vaitai | Depth: Caleb Benenoch/Dan Skipper/Tyrell Crosby/Casey Tucker

Money Invested: $18.766M | Percentage of Cap: 9.5% | Need Level: MEDIUM

Overview: Decker hasn’t lived up to his lucrative deal but the Lions did invest heavily in Eagles’ swing tackle Vaitai to help secure that right side.

OFFENSIVE GUARD: Joe Dahl/Oday Aboushi | Depth: Josh Garnett/Beau Benzschawel

Money Invested: $6.079M | Percentage of Cap: 3.1% | Need Level: HIGH

Overview: Dahl’s production was rewarded with an extension but the right guard will likely need to be addressed.

CENTER: Frank Ragnow | Depth: Russell Bodine

Money Invested: $3.963M | Percentage of Cap: 2% | Need Level: LOW

Overview: Promising young center and Matt Patricia favorite Frank Ragnow won’t enter free agency until 2023.

DEFENSIVE LINE: Danny Shelton/Da’Shawn Hand | Depth: John Atkins/Nick Williams/Kevin Strong/Frank Herron/Matt Nelson/Olive Sagapolu

Money Invested: $11.417M | Percentage of Cap: 5.8% | Need Level: MEDIUM

Overview: Detroit was smart here by cutting some redundant talent and adding former Patriot Danny Shelton but they could definitely use some added depth.

EDGE RUSH: Trey Flowers/Romeo Okwara | Depth: Austin Bryant/Jonathan Wynn

Money Invested: $22.284M | Percentage of Cap: 11.2% | Need Level: HIGH

Overview: The Lions struggled mightily last season getting to the quarterback with the absence of Trey Flowers. He will return this season but a team can never have enough pass rushers.

LB: Jamie Collins/Jarrad Davis/Christian Jones | Depth: Jalen Reeves-Maybin/Reggie Ragland/Jahlani Tavai/Steve Longa/Elijah Lee/Jason Cabinda/Anthony Pittman/Christian Sam

Money Invested: $18.264M | Percentage of Cap: 9.2% | Need Level: MEDIUM

Overview: Added the former Patriot Jamie Collins to move around into that Matt Patricia defense and slide in alongside tackle machine Jarrad Davis.

CORNERBACK: Desmond Trufant/Darryl Roberts/Justin Coleman | Depth: Mike Ford/Jamal Agnew/Tony McRae/Amani Oruwariye/Dee Virgin/Michael Jackson

Money Invested: $21.140M | Percentage of Cap: 10.7% | Need Level: HIGH

Overview: Detroit replaced Darius Slay with Desmond Trufant, but who is going to man the other side?

SAFETY: Duron Harmon/Tracy Walker | Depth: Will Harris/Jayron Kearse/Miles Killebrew/CJ Moore

Money Invested: $10.810M | Percentage of Cap: 5.5% | Need Level: HIGH

Overview: Added another Patriot here in Duron Harmon along with Viking Jayron Kearse but both have been primarily role players throughout their careers. Detroit should be open to adding top-tier talent at this spot.

KICKER: Matt Prater | Money Invested: $3.9M | Percentage of Cap: 2% | Need Level: LOW

PUNTER: Matt Wile/Jack Fox | Money Invested: $1.435M | Percentage of Cap: 0.7% | Need Level: MEDIUM

LONG SNAPPER: Don Muhlbach/James Fisher | Money Invested: $1.45M | Percentage of Cap: 0.7% | Need Level: LOW
