Overview: Cornwell possesses above average size, along with outstanding athleticism, which makes him an appealing developmental prospect. His playmaking ability was put on display when he recorded a touchdown in three straight games during his senior season. Cornwell also has a tremendous competitive spirit and is a more than willing blocker on screen and run plays, while demonstrating the ability to make contested catches in traffic. During his senior campaign, he showed off his speed, consistently showcasing his ability to separate from defenders en route to averaging over 14.8 yards per reception; he had long receptions of 49 and 50 yards respectively to compliment four scores for the Bison. No other tight end in the MEAC was more productive than Cornwell, as he led the conference in receptions, yards, and touchdowns. He finished fourth among tight ends in yards per reception at the FCS level. His deceptive speed and ability to win jump balls make him a threat to score whenever he touches the ball.

Background: Cornwell recently compete at ANC Combines (July of 2020), where he had a strong performance, catching every ball thrown his way and flashing sound blocking technique. Finished his career at Howard (2019). Previously played at Maryland, where he spent four years, spending time between tight end, wide receiver and special teams.
