Stidham has a quick release, he shows off great placement in throwing receivers open and his touch on short throws is outstanding with the finesse lobs he is capable of. The potential of an arm talent like Stidham, coupled with an offensive scheme like Gus Malzahn’s read option spread attack is a quality marriage. Jarrett Stidham operated out of the spread in shotgun mostly at Baylor and that did not change at Auburn, so his ability to take snaps from under center will be a question mark but his throwing mechanics and arm strength are legitimate. Stidham understands how to find throwing lanes, he does a good job of altering his throwing platform and is capable of side arm as well as his natural over the top delivery. His footwork within his throwing motion is in sync, he knows when to torque down and spin it into a tight window but he also understands when to take the steam off and throw a catchable check down. Jarrett Stidham enjoyed a real coming out party in 2017 and could well parlay that success into a 1st round draft grade whenever he declares.
