NFL Draft Bible Founder Ric Serritella ranks the top 10 running backs for the 2018 NFL Draft heading into the scouting combine. It appears that Penn State running back Saquon Barkley is headed for the top five overall. Expect anywhere from two-to-four backs selected in the first round, it’s a deep and talented class. From 2014 through 2016, there were 19 running backs drafted on average per year. In 2017, there were 26 runners selected in the draft. This year’s class could top that mark.
- Saquon Barkley, Penn State
- Ronald Jones III, USC
- Derrius Guice, LSU
- Kerryon Johnson, Auburn
- Sony Michel, Georgia
- Rashaad Penny, San Diego State
- Nyheim Hines, North Carolina State
- Nick Chubb, Georgia
- Bo Scarbrough, Alabama
- Kalen Ballage, Arizona State
